Who we are!
The Pocono Bluegrass and Folk Society was
started in 2000 as a non-profit organization established to promote and
support Bluegrass and acoustic music in the Eastern
Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey region. The main activites
of the PB&FS are monthly shows and jam sessions at the Elks Club in
East Stroudsburg, PA and the annual Winterfest, a three day festival in
early Febuary at the Elks Club and other venues in the Pocono area.
Another function of the PB&FS is maintaining a
scholarship fund promoting musical education for local students and
operating a children's program during Winterfest that features musical
and other folklore activities.
For the last three years the PB&FS has had tax
exempt status qualifying it for fully deductible donations and grants.

The Pocono Bluegrass and Folk Society together with
the Pocono Arts Council conduct a raffle of musical instruments
featuring a Martin guitar as a fund raising activity.
